For this bazaar, I made a very last minute booking, so I was not given much choice for the booth selection. I got the last booth...so I took it without checking the floor plan. Came that Saturday morning, I wanted to dig a hole and just disappear beneath my booth when I saw my very-near-just-opposite neighbour was one of the big players in vintage clothing...NoOo...I was dejected. Looking at their well equipped, full range of vintage and crazy pricing...I felt like a tiny ant, just about to be squashed. Well, I don't know how and I don't know why but I survived. In fact, I dare say that my sales was better than theirs. Although it doesn't mean anything to them (they didn't look like they care), most probably they were being invited to participate in the bazaar for FREE and they have gotten their return of investment long ago but I felt good. I realized that it was silly of me to be afraid of them. Afterall, we are all vendors.
Like many other bazaars these days, LelongLelong is also adopting the green factor which is to encourage no usage of plastic bags. Unfortunately, many vendors were still using plastic bags, even when clearly some customers were already bringing their own eco-friendly bags or carrying shopping bags, big enough to fit a house! I wish vendors will take a moment to reflect on our role in supporting this go green policy and not just faking it solely for the credit of their names.

Have you ever been to a cafe for bazaar? Well I have not so I am definitely looking forward for this weekend's LelongLelong bazaar organized by Biatch Bible (kewl name eh...?) And I know my breakfast, lunchie and dinner will be 'just around the corner' which makes things so much easier for me especially when I need to man the booth at the same time ^_^

Don't you just luuuurve how she pairs the bright red leggings with a mustard-orangy coat? It's one my favs from LookBook. Oh yeah, if you don't know what LookBook is all about, you must check it out at http://lookbook.nu/. It's where you will find real people with real fashion...totally awesome and definitely not one of those runway copycats.
And if you are one of those gals who dig checkered vintage dresses, these are just what you will need *wink*

I will try not to make this sound like an award speech ya >.<
But Thank You Thank You and Thank YOOOOUUU for making it happened last weekend. For those who came all the way to show some love and support...as lame as it may sound, no words can describe how much it meant to me *sniiff*...REALLY...and for those who came just to say *HI*...you guys rock too!
You know how it feels when you think that one phase of your life ended and another one begins, you are quite certain that you will have a different path and you will pretty much move on, make new friends...let the whole cycle thingy begins? Well last weekend's bazaar has proved me wrong indeed, people whom I think will never cross my path again, not only did they turn up, but they were also being so supportive at what I am doing and I even closed some sales from them (Yesh I gave discounts ahahaha). To me, this is effort, no matter if they are living in town, around the corner of Bangsar mall or are just 2 miliseconds walk away.
And Thank You Thank You and Thank YOOOOUUU to Your Shopping Kaki and Fashion Clicks for adding us into your big happy family of bloggers! Watch out for more updates on these review blogs...we are taking in by storm babeh!
